About Us
Both companies initially started as Ferguson Electric and Air Conditioning in 1970. In 1987, the company incorporated under the name of Cherokee Mechanical, Inc. In 2003, Cherokee Electrical, Inc. was incorporated separately from Cherokee Mechanical, Inc. to devote itself solely to electrical contracting. Both companies still serve the Western North Carolina area in a commercial and residential capacity. Cherokee Mechanical now specializes in HVAC work, while Cherokee Electrical specializes in all electrical work.
